SIMPLE TO START
How to play Mahjong Connect
- Select two identical tiles. A valid connecting path uses horizontal and vertical lines, with no more than two turns, and cannot pass through another tile.
- Paths may travel through the empty margin just outside the board. Tiles do not need a free left or right side, and there are no stacked layers.
- Use Hint to reveal a playable pair, or Shuffle to rearrange the remaining tiles. When no pair can connect, the game restores a playable arrangement.
- Clear all 48 tiles to finish. There is no countdown or limit on hints and shuffles.
Controls
Click or tap a tile, then its matching partner. With a keyboard, use arrow keys to move between tiles, Enter or Space to select, and Escape to clear a selection. Use Hint, Shuffle, and New game as needed.
A few good moves
- Look around the outside edges for paths.
- A pair can connect through spaces left by earlier matches.
- Use a hint when the next connection is hard to spot.
Your remaining tiles and progress are saved in this browser. A new game replaces the current board; clearing site data removes the save.
